nice

Very innovative idea. It's a different kind of brain puzzle that we're used to. In this game you can use excluding and logic to find the right answer. That's just how I solve my problems so this game really hit the nerve :). Very good game, good job.

I put a bit of time into designing the level to be honest. It can be tricky to make them challenging yet solvable using 3 colours.
Glad you liked it! ^^

bugged

After completing level 3, the mochiad ad shows up and the game never goes forward from there. I waited quite a while so it seems to be a bug. Heavy deduction of points for not testing your own game before submitting.

The game itself seemed bit lacking. It needs something, can't quite put my finger on it but it wasn't very fun to play imo.

jaws73 responds:

There was a glitch on some systems that caused the ad between levels not to go away. The ad has now been removed between levels.

copy?

This is like stripped Robin the archer with different graphics. The air enemies act identically like in that game. Stolen code? Coincidence? Don't know, but the obvious similarity left a bad taste in my mouth.

cute

This is a cute platformer but has some gameplay issues. Biggest issue is the camera. You don't see enough below. World 1-5 being perfect example how that will get you in trouble. I reach the first gap and cant see what's below, I jump in and there's fire, great, now I know :P. Also several places where I'm not sure what's below or where the platform is and with some bad luck I fall just between them and die.

One small issue is the font after you've beaten world 1. You chose unreadable font to type out the story of the game. Why? The story sucks so bad and you are ashamed of it and thus made it unreadable? :D

I loved the cute graphics but the camera issues just killed this for me. I don't like playing with constant doubt of what's below me. I suggest either zooming out automatically in such locations or increasing the sight area or allowing the player to freely zoom out when he/she wishes. Too bad really, seemed like a promising platformer.

hi thanks for the feedback. Try the Down Arrow key, to see whats is below you, you can see camera go down to check that.

Thanks

lacking

I liked the graphics and at first this seemed like a promising shooter. But unfortunately there's couple of things that bothered me.
First of, the difficulty. A good analogy would be like this; you start by walking and quickly work yourself up to a running speed and then hit a brick wall full speed. It leaves you with a painful unsatisfying feeling. Dealing with the swarming minions is very easy, and after that you present the nearly impossible boss. I'm sure it's beatable, but after several tries I just can't be bothered anymore.

The other thing that bothered me was that the upgrades drop from dead enemies and drop downwards. I had to stop going up and down while shooting all the time and let the enemies advance before killing them to get the upgrades. And once I had the triple shooting upgrade, I didn't see anymore enemies as they were dead as soon as they hit the screen. The upgrades should move horizontally so that you don't punish the player for killing the enemies quickly like you are doing now which seems like an odd thing to do.

In conclusion, here's a one minute worth of really easy shooter action which is then stopped by a nearly impossible boss. Graphics were nice, but when the gameplay is so poor, the total score won't amount to much.

has something to it

At first I didn't think much of this game. But during the evening, I came back to play it three times, so there's definitely some addictiveness to it :).
The graphics are nice and the sharks movements are good too. If there's something to complain, it's the very steep rise in the difficulty. You start out easy with a few guys, but then within seconds there's bus loads of people swarming in and helicopters bombing you. Still a nice little time waster game. Good job.

Skeik responds:

Never really got complaints about that prerelease. Every 2 miners you kill, another one is added to the spawn count, until the amount of miners on screen caps out. Exponential growth lol. Might of been a good idea to tone that down.

Thanks

solid below average

I liked the statistics you are giving, haven't seen any other blackjack games do that. But you are lacking on some basic features like doubling and splitting. It's like making a poker game and not counting four of a kind and straight flush. Why leave them out when they are part of the game?

One thing that set it below average experience for me was the cards. I couldn't tell in a split second what I had. Don't know why you chose to type the cards, like "Queen", "King" instead of using familiar pictures. Because of this I was staring at the total count number on the right side all the time, so basically you could have just made this to be text based because the graphics aren't looked at.

I also didn't like the fact that you gave the dealer two cards, which were both shown right away. Many occasions where the dealer got 20 or 21 and I'm like what's the point in me drawing cards :P. Give the dealer only one card, or if you give him two then hide the other card. With the way you did it, giving two and showing both, you are many times killing the game for the player right at the start.

Having sounds could have also enhanced the experience, too bad you didn't have them either. There's so many blackjack flash games and this one is just below average.

it was ok

I enjoyed the 'easy' and 'normal' levels, but the 'nightmare' levels were just dumb. Not all of them but most of their solution has nothing to do with being clever or solving a puzzle. Why? Because I don't have a full view of the map. I don't know which way to go, where is the finish line. Basically I have to fail many times and spend a lot of time trying out thingsor watch the walkthrough, but where's the satisfaction of solving the level if you do that?

While trial&error way of solving problems in a puzzle is nothing new, and it isn't even a bad thing in most puzzles, but it is a bad thing in this one. That is because this is a platformer and getting through the levels requires good timing, a bit of luck and good control of the character when it tries to juggle on blocks falling to the lava. When you fail the puzzle because you just couldn't know which way to go, you got to do all that demanding gaming again. That makes the player frustrated and annoyed.

Don't ramp up the difficulty by requiring us to be physics or something. It may seem like a challenge for you, the creator, as you know full well which way to go, but the rest of us can't possibly know that when you drop us off in a new level with limited view and no idea which way is the right way.

You lose some points by making the dumb nightmare levels, but I still enjoyed the other levels so this game is still worth a play.

disappointing

I loved the previous game, and I remember that the main complaint there was that it was bit easy. I think you now went bit overboard with the difficulty. Now it is too hard, and pretty much not fun to play.

I don't like the whole immune/can kill -thing. Alright you could do the immune thing, but I think you went overboard with that as well. The immunities ramp up too quickly, soon all that there is walking is a lot of immune things and I have to use the frog spell all the time. The game was fun when you could lay the traps and watch the attackers die to them. Right now the attackers get too many immunities and skip your traps, and even kill your traps (bad idea). So there is no point in making them, you can't really keep up. So the best spell is the frog spell, and this game becomes a click-fest. It's not fun to play.

Remove the immunity crap, or tone it down greatly, like one immunity only. No more those things that are immune to everything in the left ability tree, they suck out the fun. And remove the killing of players traps thing completely, not a good idea.

I was excited when I saw this sequel, but unfortunately you kinda ruined it.

good

That was quite original and fun game :). Like a breath of fresh air here in newgrounds. I enjoyed it. Good job :).

I like the things I like.
