too easy

I like the cute graphics but the game was way too easy and felt pointless. There was like zero challenge until around 10 minute mark when there was some challenge but not much and the game really picks up at around 12 minute mark. But even then you are maxed out and just sitting in a corner holding X and watching everything die and it starts to lag when too many gems fly out.

Great that you made this in 2 weeks, but did you guys skip play testing? Having to play 10 minutes until any challenge is provided makes the replay value zero. The game felt pointless and a waste of time. The good looking graphics are this games only save.

okay

I like the animation you got on the sticks, they are pretty smooth. One problem I have with this game is that you don't give any info on the weapons. I can't really guess what majority of the weapons are and do. Only obvious ones being the pistol and uzi. I there was 3 options that could be the bazooka, I didn't pick the right one :P. I bought one of the 3k costing weapons and thought I was good to go, but got easily owned after that, terrible purchase :P. It was the one in the middle row. Is that just an uzi that shoots straight? lol

Give us more info and this will be alright game. Right now it falls short. I don't like to guess what I'm buying.

okay

But where is the mute button?

nice

Good looking game. The boat handles nicely and the maps are interesting. Only downside being that the AI is totally helpless. Only challenge was the last guy on the challenges, but I think he's cheating cuz he drives a perfect round every time :P. Nevertheless I beat him (yey!).
But the laval cup has a bug. I beat the first round easily and when I press space to continue after, it takes me to the challenge screen. I tried to drive the lava cup again but same thing happens.

is this finished?

Seems like a rushed job to me. What is that weird white place on top of the screen with some numbers on it that are cut off from the screen? That can't be intentional :P. Looks really ugly and unfinished.
What happens to the ice behind you? It looks pretty weird and bad imo. There are also sometimes gaps on the ice spawns, doesn't look good. Also what is the chance of a snowman to spawn? I saw them very rarely, but the trees could come like two in same cliff. The snowman also slows you down way too much.

I think you should play Canabalt a couple more times. You made a direct copy with different graphics except that you messed up some things, thus you made a bad copy. You didn't add anything new to the game nor did you remove anything. 'Bad copy' summaries this game.

not a fan

Seems like your average top down shooter. But few things I didn't like about this one. First of all the camera moving. I found it to be confusing that it distanced itself from the character as you moved your mouse further away. I'd prefer it to be at a fixed distance. I'm sure you can get used to this, but I didn't like it.

Then the graphics. Am I shooting pokemons? Cuz those things look like the Grimer pokemon. Your avatar being a pokemon I guess you did copy his appearance :P. Didn't really like that decision either. Also not a fan of how they died. They just stop moving and you remove the health bar, then they disappear after few seconds. You could have done some simple death animation.

Sorry to be all negative but your game just doesn't stand out, at least not in a good way. It's 'nothing too new or interesting'.

super easy

I like the concept and the execution but the bombs made this game super easy. After I had killed the second boss, I had all the upgrades except the extra ship weapon upgrades. And I didn't farm the first boss for more than maybe 5 times.

I see a comment that says "stupidly hard", lol :). Here's few tips: upgrade the money gain first, then upgrade the bombs. With 50$ per bomb, and 4 bombs, it will be smooth sailing from there on.
The bomb has a huge range when upgraded (covering nearly whole screen), and lasts for a long time (when upgraded). After getting the upgrades each boss was; activate bomb, keep shooting the boss, first bomb cools off and you have taken like half of the boss hp, activate second bomb and repeat and the boss dies without you taking a single hit since the bomb destroys all enemy projectiles. With bombs costing 50$, you will have 4 bombs every round even if you die in the first 5 seconds (which is impossible if you use the bombs).

So yeah overall I like the game idea, but the bombs being mega powerful, the experience was ruined for me.

nice remake

This brings back memories. Although I don't remember the ducks making *glass break* sound when falling, I found that kinda annoying. But you seemed to have all the other originals sounds so good job on that. Thanks for the trip on the memory lane but this just isn't the same without my trusty gun. With mouse it's a bit too easy.

needs some improvements

I like the game but few things that started bugging me as I played on. I wish I could edit my castle if the level fails instead of having to start from scratch every time.

Then the moving tool, it shouldn't pick the item up from a point. Because when I pick up a block it starts spinning and is more of a hazard than anything else. I'm better of deleting the block and placing it again. Change the moving tool so that the picked up block doesn't start rotating around the picked point.

Imo having to hold down the mouse until you find a good spot for your block is not a good idea. More than once I, for one reason or other, accidentally let go of the mouse button while moving and object and it materialized in a terrible spot pushing other blocks away and wrecking my castle. Change it to be click to select, click to place it.

Do the different tools have hotkeys? I mean is there a hotkey to quickly select the move tool or destroy tool or the 'normal' tool? If not, there should be. And if there is, you should write the hotkey next to the icon.

I think you should look into a bit of how the stones fall over the playing area. Because you can win one time and lose another time with the same castle. It's a bit of luck when the burning stone or the huge stone misses your castle completely and you are like 'wow I'd be dead if that hit me'.

Few annoyances, but overall I enjoyed the game. I like buildings stuff and seeing how it holds up under punishment :). Good job.

very nice

Very good old school puzzle game. I enjoyed the puzzles and some of them were pretty clever. The puzzles seemed to get just right amount more difficult as you progressed on. Though there were couple easy ones in the mix but overall the difficulty progress was really good.

Not sure if this is a bug, but I couldn't submit my score after beating the game. But I was able to submit it the first time I got "game over". Did you disable submitting if you used a continue or is it a bug?

Anyway, good job on this. Please make some more :).

I like the things I like.
