good

I liked this. Simple idea but it works.

I think that the first level is too hard. Some of the tanks are too fast. Second level is much easier. The fourth level was also a bit too hard.

Also rather than giving us improvement to our bombs, why not let us buy them? Every enemy we kill we get money. And after a level we can buy upgrades from a shop. Like more range to the explosion, faster bomb drop, second bomb drop, etc. etc.

Do a sequal and add all that to it if you don't want to edit this one.

It was good but

Level 1 was good. I got the hang of it fast and got it through without problems. Level 2 on the other hand... The problem comes that you can't hit 4 keys at the same time. I mean you CAN, but the game doesn't respond to you hitting all 4 keys simultaneously. Only two birds jump. That fact killed the game for me.

lame

I played this several times. Every time I got stuck to either the letter C or D. I am C or D and there comes zero C's or D's. I waited dodging the letters for a long time, the letter I was never appeared. And if you eat something else than what you are, you lose. Recheck your code and try to fix that bug.

The game idea is pretty good. I'm surprised you didn't get this sponsored at all. I mean it's very easy to get atleast a hundred bucks or bit more.

great

Brilliant puzzles. The difficult was just perfect. Only thing you could improve is the graphics.

well

When you base a game on hitting one button repeatedly throughout the game, you should have a pretty good idea that people will hate it. Did MaxGames really sponsor this? I'll keep them in mind when I have a bad game I want sponsored. 1 point though for the graphics.

found a bug

I fast forwarded the intro talking (just kept clicking next) and after that I got a white screen and the game wasn't going anywhere.

ehm

What am I missing here? :P

You basicly just have the crappy interface and you use the random() command :P. I submit this to the blam-collection.

Celtic-games responds:

Actually it's not the Math.random (); command, but another I got from another developper.
Well, I suppose it's the same.
And as I said in the response above, it's about releasing it, sharing. Not just making.
Of course making things helps you understand and be more accurate, but that's only some part of the work.

bad

I don't get what's the point of the game. I know how I can make the ball move. Then what? Maybe you win by moving the ball to that grey-spinning-shit? Apparently no. So what the fuck do you do in this game? "Reach the roof??" Where in the fuck is "the roof"? Some REAL instructions would have been great.

You pissed me off with this shit and that's why I'm giving you a zero.

jayc06 responds:

sorry you didn't like it. this is my 2nd game, so i still have to learn. still thanks for the crap review..

it's good but

This game is seriously lacking in sounds/music.

Sounds, well, there are practically none. Why not? Make a sound when you use those rocket boosters to jump. Make a sound when you land, because you are not a feather but a badass tank. Make a sound when you shoot, etc. etc. Sounds enchance the gaming experience.

Music, just one tune throughout the game. Not to mention I didn't like this tune very much. Sure it fits somehow, but it could be a lot better. Also, there is a badass boss coming out, and you keep playing this same tune. Like you are in the elevator waiting to reach your floor. Play some cool battle tune when a boss comes. It spices up the situation "hey this is serious shit" when you hear that battle music.

The game was pretty easy and short. Also you have unlimited lives and you get to pick off pretty much where you left off. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but you should have worked it in the gameplay, made the levels a bit harder.

It wasn't spectacular, but it was overall good.

Ansel responds:

Thanks for your critique. I thought that in a fairly slow-paced game like this, sound effects, unless there're a lot of them, might sound out f place and detract from the overall experience :/ Also, the music was composed specifically for this game by Marcus Tyr, and I think, once again, that it fits with the general mood very well.

okay

It was what it was. But where are the sounds? Sounds are very important. And not only sounds but also a music piece with the option to turn it off.

Acreonte responds:

yeah, you're right, is missing the sounds and music... I just didn't know what could go with the game... thanks for your comment

I like the things I like.
