okay

It was what it was. But where are the sounds? Sounds are very important. And not only sounds but also a music piece with the option to turn it off.

Acreonte responds:

yeah, you're right, is missing the sounds and music... I just didn't know what could go with the game... thanks for your comment

not bad

I kinda liked it. Not sure why :P. I guess it was the music.

One thing that I didn't like was that the apples sometimes spawned behind the green buttons. For example behind the Menu leaf. Make a clear playing area where the apples spawn where there are no buttons.

EglStrk responds:

Yeah, I'm getting that "hiding apple" suggestion a lot. Glad you "kinda liked" it, though.

ok~

Started out good, but it started to lag badly at mission 7. I reduced the quality to Low with no help. Still massive lag. And No I don't have a crappy old computer. It's not the newest design either, but it should be plenty for a game like this. It took only a few minutes to get to mission 7, so I don't have much to say. Fix the lag :P.

Psycho responds:

No idea what's causing the lag, it seems to work fine on my computer =/

good

I found this strangely addicting. You learn to control the green dot after a while. I find the gameplay to be better than in an average mouse avoider.

But the game aint without problems. First of all, you need to make the playing area bigger. Because near the edges the dot moves painfully slow because you can't move your mouse out of the screen. Because of that the level with a lot of lasers in line is impossible to get through because the dot just slows down too much.

Some nice music would be good, but remember to add a button so you can also turn it off if you dont like it.

Overall, I liked this. Good job.

stronglink07 responds:

Thanks, I might, maby, sometime in my life make one with a bigger stage so you can move fast then later add some suspenful music...

not bad

I liked this game. It's simple yet ~ok fun. One thing bothered me a little was that the flame was always at the bottom of the screen. No matter how fast you went, the flame always went at equal speed. Being fast should be rewarded. Make the flame go at a set speed, and if you go faster, then the flame gets left behind. As the game goes on, you of course speed up the flame. That way this would be more fun.

ThomasAquinas responds:

Good point, shall consider this for a revision in the future.

nice try but

the controls totally ruin this game. It has potential though. Learn how to make the unit walk the direction it is facing and then resubmit.

chocorobokun responds:

thank you for your review

not perfect

It was pretty ok. What I dont understand why you make the flash size X if you are going to use only 80% of X to show the game. By that I mean the white space at left and right looks ugly.

The gameplay was pretty good, but why do you use such weird controls? i,j,k,l? :P Stick with the arrow keys or w,a,s,d.

If you just could improve the graphics then this game would be good. Hire an artist if you cant do it yourself?

Pharanphalia responds:

Thanks for the advice.
Ill probABLY make a version 2!

uh oh, this aint good

I dont want to offend you, but I cant keep quiet either. This kind of mouse avoider, if it doesnt get blammed, useally gets below 2.00 rating. This has above 3.00. My question, how in the hell? You must have a lot of friends, or people just looked at the title and thought fift attemt cant be bad and voted for more than this really deserves. You also say you spend a lot of time on this, how much is long? 2-3 hours is not long by normal stantards...

Now, the game. Levels seem hand drawn. You just took the brush, color red, and drew the levels in 5 minutes. Music, you found a "funny" song, and put it in the game. It doesnt fit at all. Short review for the game, because there was nothing else. No obsticles, not even the oh-so-common windmill, nothing, absolutely nothing. If you really spend a lot of time on this, it is without a doubt that you spend 99% of that time into learning the action script behind a mouse avoider game. The levels, with the very simplistic graphics, couldnt have taken anyone longer than 5 minutes.

Im still amazed about the rating...anyway, Im going to vote fairly on this. 1/10, 1/5. One point for the attempt since you are clearly a beginner in flash.

Flashsubmit responds:

First i didn't hand draw the grafics, but on , what one level, and i don't have alot of friends voting on it, thanks for just jumping to that conclusion. I spent about 4-6 hours on it, and worked hard, sure i forgot some stuff, and the mouse isn't great, and if you don't like the music, turn it down. Im sorry that you don't like it but, please don't just jump to conclusions, i hate when people do that.

nice game

I actually enjoyed it. Good idea, only problem is that its very easy. You should limit the drawing somehow to make it more challenging. Since now you can draw as much as you want, its very easy.
Good job with the game.

jaythorpe responds:

thanks

okay

What's the frame rate on this? It looks very ugly and twitching. You should make it more smooth. Other than that, its a copy of the helicopter game, and that seems to be your goal, so ye...its ok.

kl-harry responds:

Yep, I'll increase the frame rate, which should help.

I like the things I like.
